What a stunning day to begin this year’s SADSAA Bottom Fish Nationals. Breakfast and Boat Pack Collection began at 04:45. The weather call was made at 05:00 and all was well so the teams could buy their bait and then be at the slipway to launch a 05:30.

After the blessing of the fleet, they all set off together to enjoy a wonderful competitive day at sea. Jacqui Rautmann, mother of the youngest competitor, Karla Rautmann was there to see them all off and took the most amazing photographs with her cell phone. Thank you so much Jacqui for allowing me to post them here.

Later today or early tomorrow I will post some of the competitors’ photographs and some of the weigh-in that will take place this afternoon. Lines up is at 16:00.
